The positive I can say about the defensive line is that i think they'll be an upgrade in the pass rush category. It's stopping the run that could be a concern but I'm sure whoever the starting four will be will eventually get the job done when its needed.

Matta always seems to just go for the one simple answer and he always seems to have a simple plan. It wasn't just some shots needed to go in, several things need tweaked and he could have tried some adjustments in order to get things going. He never seems to do this and comes off to me as a very stubborn guy. With more working the ball around for the best shot, trying our sharpshooter and attention to the ball so that you don't miss catching it, you make possibilities for success, instead of just staying on a plan of taking any shot for a three. I'm getting real disappointed in Matta for his game coaching skills and lack thereof.

Thank god we don't have to deal with the Jordan hicks issue...

Great write up Steve...thanks for the detail. My gut is telling me that Jamaal Marcus will end up at DE...he has NFL caliber size at 6'2 and will bulk up to be 255-265...for this to happen though Fickell will have to tweak his DL philosophy to make happen....Marcus to DE should happen because we need speed on the end
