I know this is a high school kid and he's looking for a future somewhere BUT in your efforts to get a scholarship to tOSU, it's probably not a wise thing to say, "I like Michigan. They have not offered me, but that’s one school that I wouldn’t mind going up to camp. (Assistant coach Jerry) Montgomery is a good coach. He called me. Their recruiting class coming in is good. I want to visit there and meet the coaches and see the facilities.” There are some folks who just don't like to have that on a Bucknuts interview.

Yep.
Darron Lee looks like a better bet at safety / athlete and doesn't have the issues with the academics, or extracurricular issues.

FWIW...Day's rankings are quite different at RIVALS and SCOUT:
RIVALS: 4*...#9 athlete...#186 overall
SCOUT: 3*...#61 CB
Offers aren't overly impressive:
Best offers per RIVALS: Arkansas, Illinois, OSU
Best offer per SCOUT: Illinois, scUM, OSU

I would try to keep him warm for signing day if he blew up during the season or we struck out with higher ranked guys.
