Pretty telling. I don't speculate on potential transfers, but you have to question his future here. I'm not in the "he would be a sick de" camp.

I hope he does not transfer but the if you don't get in for mop up duty against Illinois how can you possibly expect to see any significant playing time in the future?

He played a few snaps today, so can't be suspended.

I'm 99.9% sure I saw him today on special teams. If anyone recorded the game, I believe I saw him on the left defense side on one of Illinois' early field goal attempts.
I was in C-deck on that side of the field, and I remember thinking - at least he's on the field.

He spent most of the day on the sidelines with his helmet in hand. He did play lat on ST.

The whole thing is very puzzling, but without question Boren is playing better than Grant. That's because Boren is playing great and Grant did not play very well. Even Klein has moved ahead of Grant.

Could just be a rumor, but thought I read a while back that Grant supposedly reached out to UVA on his own about the possibility of transfering after the season and Urban found out about it...obviously he was none to happy. Again, could be BS, but I agree - even if he isn't understanding the D, you would think he would be playing special teams and making an impact.

He is not suspended, he is just not ready to play. The big question is whether or not he ever will be. Only time will tell, but there is no reason to be optimistic.

He has looked lost every time he's line up at MLB.
Why are so many people on this board so stuck on his Rivals ranking and unable to believe their own eyes and the coaches judgments.
Grant could still play MLB here, Bino redshirted his 3rd year to learn the defense. Grant could do the same thing, or try to change positions if he's never going to be an effective general in the middle of the field, let alone being able read the play and cover the right guy himself.
