The Heat are done. They aren't making it out of this series unless Bosh makes a miraculous recovery. And even then I still think they aren't coming out of this alive.
Spolestra will get canned and Riley will take over next season. Then it is all or nothing. They either win it all or Lebron opts-out after next season and ventures somewhere North of South beach.
Lebron and Wade can't co-exist. They can't trade Wade without getting crushed by their fanbase and they would be stupid to trade the best player on the planet in Lebron. This isn't going to end well.
With that said they will come back and win this series and Bosh comes back and they probably win the next 4 titles...

I can see Spols getting dumped, not sure if Riley wants to coach again, it's a grind.... Lebron is NOT opting out lol. He loves playing with Dwade, they are BEST FRIENDS and Wade has given him the keys willingly. Indiana has a huge advantage inside and its going to win them the series. The Heat are being exposed for not having a center. Bosh is the closest thing they have and even with him they struggle to match up down low on both ends. Heat are likely done, but to think LBJ wants out of Miami is pure ridiculous. Miami won't trade Wade either. This is moreso wishful thinking than logical haha

Dan Gilbert owned the Cavs since March of 2005 when the team was just good enough to make the playoffs. It is difficult to find great talent with middle round draft picks. Plus, he inherited a team with awful contracts and he made the most of it. He surrounded LePussy with the right players to win 60+ games in two straight seasons. Something he has yet to do with his butt buddy superstars down in Miami. Then, in the most important playoff series of LeQuit's career, he had a psychological meltdown. He did the same thing last year. Even with two other superstars on the team, they couldn't cover for the fact that one of their players was completely and utterly useless with the pressure on.

Those teams wouldn't be good enough to win 60 games now. The east was pretty weak then, it has improved a good bit.
People can hate Lebron all they want, I could care less. I just don't think cavs fans should be that surprised he left. The Heat isn't set up to win. They have three super stars and that's it. The Celtics won with three, but they had numerous role players step up and a guy named Rondo emerge. The Heat have none of that. Outside of Lebron, Wade and Bosh the rest of the team are probably the last guys off the bench for many teams....Battier and Miller is probably the exception, bit they are in the downside of their careers.

You just obviously don't know the situation and would be better off not commenting on it. Gilbert would have spent every dime he had and got whomever he could. His mistake was catering to that weak willed child. He went hard after everyone Lequit aske him to and got many of them. LBJ's last roster in Clevelan was better than the team the Heat is fielding right now. The problem is the star player isn't a closer.

The East has improved? This should be the easiest path LeDick ever had to the finals. The top seed went down because their best player was injured. The Celtics can collect on social security. Dwight Howard is injured. Hell, the team playing the best ball is the Indiana Pacers. I think the Cavs would have swept this Pacers team in 2010. JMO....
With that said, I understand why LePussy left. Some of the reasons were good, some of them were misguided, and others were just plain stupid. Nevertheless, there is absolutely zero excuse for having an hour long TV special to do it. For that reason above all others, he can f*&% off.

I'm not claiming to have inside info or have primo info on the situation that was. I know Lebron wanted Shaq and wanted Jameson. Both of those were trades if I remember. They had chances to sign good free agents and didn't. Maybe Lebron had something to do with it, maybe he didn't. I live in Columbus, so its not like we never got any Cav news. But if you look as an outsider/non fan, I think it would look different to a point.
You are right, his last Cleveland roster was overall better than the current product the heat has. - This post is for members of Bucknuts only. Join now! 7-Day Free Trial

I hate the Miami Heat with the passion of three suns. With that said, they are far from done. If they get a little confidence back, they'll run most teams in the NBA right off the court, including the Pacers. There are only a couple of teams that can go with them when they are playing well.

I hate Miami also, but the NBA is about matchups. Indiana mathces up with Miami better than anyone else does right now because of their size and talent inside and their wing men can get it done too. Collison and Hill are playing lights out, Granger and George are playing well also. James is playing well and so is Chalmers but Wade is struggling his balls off and without Bosh they don't have anyone who can score in the paint consistently. The Pacers are DOMINATING the paint right now. Hansborough and West are coming off the bench and making it happen, Hibbert is unstopable, this thing is getting out of control quickly. If Miami had Bosh I would say they will still win the series. Without a low post presence and without Wade and or LBJ going for like 40, I don't see them getting it done. This is playoff basketball, matchups and half court basketball is what matters. Miami is weak in both areas vs Indiana...

I can't look at it as an outsider. I have a professional relationship with the owner you are criticizing. I can tell you, you're wrong. Dans mistake was catering to LBJ. The kid is a complete douchebag, but that's because he is a product of his up bringing. As much as I hate what he did and how he behaves, I've started to actually feel bad for him. And yes I know he is rich but he is also clueless and the pressure on him is going to keep getting worse. He would have at least been protected here.

I'm not criticizing Dan Gilbert....I may not agree with his choices, but they are his. So please don't look at it as me criticizing him. He knows far more about owning a team than I ever will, but I can still disagree without criticizing. I never said he was dumb, selfish, a douchebag, etc.
If its Dan Gilberts team, he should of done what be wanted. Lebron isn't a gm or an evaluater of talent, so that was Gilbert decision to cater to Lebron. From my perspective the players chosen to go around him were not the best available at the time and if I was a cavs fan I would be upset that you didn't build the best tram that was possible. But that's just my feelings, you have a relationship with them, so yours is obviously going to be different.

I've read nothing from you that I agree with so far but I'll give you a chance to explain. Who were the better players the Cavs should have landed? Please... enlighten me.
You keep saying you don't follow, don't care, etc. Then do us all a favor and don't post on something you have no knowledge about. Some of the claims you are making border on the ridiculous.

I forgot, the mighty Buckeyesteves knows all. So you feel that Gilbert spent his money wisely helping Lebron? If memory serves me right, the cavs never signed one of the top free agents available. They would get a less talented player and pay too much, or take on a bad contract in a trade. Cheap isnt the best word, but he could of spent a bit more money and landed better talent, than over pay for marginal talent. That was my view on it. I'm not a cavs fan, but if I was, I certainly wouldn't of been happy with who the put around Lebron.

Just because I'm not a cavs fan doesn't mean I don't have a favorite NBA team or don't follow the NBA. Michael Redd was available, they signed Larry Hughes....that may be before Gilbert. Redd would have been a great compliment to James. Charles Villenueva had all signs pointing to him going to Cleveland for a good while. I don't remember every free agent that was available, but there were many that reports speculated the cavs would go after hard, but many did not end up there.
I don't see how talking with someone who isn't a fan of your team and has a different opinion than you is ridiculous. You have no desire to debate how your team looks from another point of view? That's fine, if that's how you feel. I'm the opposite, I like discussing teams that I follow with others that have different opinions, it makes conversions interesting. It's a lot better than "Lebron is a douche and I hope he loses every game" followed by thirty comments of people agreeing.

Does ANY owner spend all of his money wisely? I think we both "no" the answer to that question. But the part you fail to realize is it wasn't JUST Gilbert who brought these guys in. It was Lebron. He signed off on EVERY move that was made. He was the one who pushed hard for Larry Hughes. He was the one who desperately wanted Antwan Jamison. He also pushed hard and gave the "ok" for Shaq too. How did all of those Lebron moves pan out? Gilbert had to run these moves past Lebron because in order to keep Baby Bron-Bron happy, the organization had to stroke his ego 24/7.

Stop re-writing history. Michael Redd was NOT available. Not really. He chose to re-sign with Milwaukee for more money than Cleveland was allowed to offer due to the CBA. You can't heap that one at the Cavs feet. The Cavs had to choose from what was available and Michael Redd chose not to change teams. There are plenty of things you could point to and say hey maybe they COULD have done this or that, but this is not one of those things.
P.S. Charlie Villanueva sucks.

Two problems about Michael Redd....#1. His contract was for $25M MORE then what they signed Hughes for. And #2, you are right, Redd would have been a better compliment to Lebron then Hughes for all 8 games Redd was healthy enough to play.
Sure Villaneuva was available too. But Detroit offered him more money. AND The albino-whino sucks. He is trash. We can sit here and play arm-chair GM all day long. But the fact of the matter is had Lebron come out and publicly said he was committing to Cleveland LONG TERM, then that would've been much easier to attract QUALITY FA's then taking a chance and hoping Lebron is going to sign long term when other players around the league are unsure he is going to stay either.

Does LeBron Get A "Pass" If Heat Go Down?
