The article is saying that OSU's offense will resemble Oregon's in regards to tempo and the number of plays (80-85 per game) that Meyer seeks to run. That's it.

OSU will have a much better passing game, will implement more power plays and will still go under center sometimes.

Oregon's offenses have rarely been scary in terms of their passing game. They were like the Nebraska teams of old - suck your safeties up to the line because you're too worried about the option and then sneak a tight end behind your defense for a big play.

OSU's offense under Meyer will include downfield passing – much more of it than what Oregon incorporates.

OSU isn't copying anything from Oregon other than the pace at which the offense is trying to operate at. Rittenberg just saw a similarity and ran with it.

That's all. No worries.

We'll have a VERY unique offense next season that people will be trying to emulate.

It will over-whelm many opponents and teams like Purdon't who were used to sitting linebackers in the gaps because they knew OSU was going to run Power, can no longer do that.

Now, the offense will be in attack-mode the entire game, going for the jugular and not giving the opposing team hope that they can keep things close and stay in the game until the very end.
