Words like "fuck" "shit" "Ass" and others to me are just words. They are a collection of sounds that hold the meaning we choose to assign them. They are cultural and acceptable forms of non-formal communication. And while there are certainly instances where more formal language should be used, like in a professional environment, a football chat forum isn't one of them in my opinion. But words don't hold magic power to create the downfall of a society. People do that.
So while we aren't going to win any good manners and etiquette rewards, we aren't going in to churches talking about ass raping the "virgin" Mary either. There are lines. I don't think anyone is crossing them. This is a premium adult environment. If you want to abstain from cursing then by all means do so. But the adminstration has said they don't care. So its not against the rules.
Being "offended" is a choice. That means you can also choose to not be offended.
Me personally? I don't think God gives a fuck about words in and of themselves. Jesus talked about the pharisees he referred to them as a cup that was clean on the outside but filthy on the inside. I believe this refers to what is in a man's heart is more important than his outward appearence. Clean the inside of the cup. The only slur I don't care for is the use of the Lords name in vain. Its disrespectful to someone who deserves our best. So don't get caught up on the word itself. What the speaker means is whats really important. If he says it was a hard fucking day at work then its pretty harmless.
