Dude deserves a ton of props for stepping up like he did today. He had some BIG buckets down the stretch. He only had 7 points but damn did we need every one. 3-3 from the line all coming in the last 3 minutes. Ill be the first to admit I have been hard on him in favor of Amir Williams. I consume crow happily. Kudos to Evan!

I would love to see Evan inserted into the starting lineup, making Smith the 6th man, but the problem is that that gives Matta no flexibility in resting guys, taking them out when they get in foul trouble, etc.If Amir could have arrived ready to provide effective minutes, it would have been a different story, but that is not what materialized. Next year could be different.

I agree 100% that Ravenel deserves to log major minutes. I think Thad screwed up not playing Lauderdale more late last season. Rebounding and D down low are vital in tourney bball.

yep, Evan was sick with it on Sunday in his brief cameo and I am excited for next year especially if DT stays which I have to think is the most likely out come. Remember, chemistry and cohesion are HUUUUUGE in college hoops and really, we haven't shown very much of it all year and are getting by on sheer talent and future pros, which can also be effective. So, what if next year, although less talented individually, is collectively better with more energy and sharing of the rock, defined roles, leadership, etc.? Again, Thad has NEVER won less than 20 games as a head coach, never. I don't see next season being the year and then in 2013-14 we're reloaded for a big run with Loving and maybe other elites in the fold.
