We have Roby and Hankins and maybe Simon because he works so hard. We dont have one LB who would start for any other top ten team. Howard, Johnson and Barnett have been dinged up at one time or another. We have even resorted to playing Grant who is full of potential but not quite ready. Our backups in many areas are not ready. Here is something else some of our best defensive players were not highly touted coming in but were helped developed by the same coach you want fired? Remember he was a coach on those teams too.

I like the idea of giving Withers a shot of being the head honcho of the defense. It would give Fickell more time to pay attention to the linebackers and hopefully Withers would play a little bit more aggressively.

It would seem we have staff members who still adhere to the old philosophy in playing seniority....hence Klein.
This goes against everything Meyer had preached about playing young guys, the best will play, no redshirts and going from point A to B very quickly.

Meyer just said in his presser that Perry and Williams were hurt, and Marcus and Perkins are not grasping the defense yet. Also needed leadership on the defense. That is why he pulled in Boren (yes, it was apparnetly Meyer's call).

What a GREAT Front Row Radio show. I was soooo happy to hear the dialogue about the OSU defense. We in buckeye nation are not looking for perfection with the defense...but want to see the SILVER BULLETS...again. It seems sad that for the last 2 years most of the yells have been about the lack luster offense...my oh my how things have changed. Thanks again Dave and Duane for such an OUTSTANDING show!!! Wasn't Cam Williams on the punt team Saturday? If he was really injured, what was he doing on special teams.

Not a Fickell fan at all. If he is making the personnel decisions on defense then we are in deep trouble. He was the one last year who thought we had a better chance to win with Joe Bauserman at qb.
