Since we're on the topic of pronunciation, how do we pronounce Brionte? The stadium announcer at the spring game was saying Bry-on-tay, but I thought it was Bree-on-tay. What is your pronouncement? ;)

You're right ... it's Bree-ON-tay.
The press box announcer (not the stadium announcer, but the guy who announces stuff to reporters in the press box) is horrible at pronouncing names. He's also bad at getting players mixed up. Not sure how one gets Philly Brown and Ryan Shazier mixed up, but he manages to do it. And like I said, always butchers OSU players' names. Not a lot of homework being done there.

I told OSU's SID, so hopefully they'll change it in the official pronunciation guide. But yes, it's Shay-ZEER. Fear rhymes with Shazier.

Didn't the Notre Dame SID change the pronunciation of Joe Theisman to rhyme with Heisman? No matter how you are supposed to say it, rhyming with "fear" sounds pretty cool!!
