Why not reduce the charges. I am all for it. Especially after his Head Coach was responsible for the death of a student and nothing was done about that.

Its a good thing for that kid that he plays in South Bend where football rules the roost, and not in some other locale like Happy Valley where anyone associated with the football program is held to the same legal standards as anyone else and nothing gets fixed behind the scenes by a powerful football coach...

I love how they reported it on ESPN. They said Rees lifted his knee up, and made contact with the officer. Basically, he pulled the officer down with his hands just to knee him in the gut. But since it's ND, they had to make it sound as good as possible. Had it been us, ESPN probably would have done a reinactment of what they thought happened, even though they have no idea.

What's funny is most ND fans are mad about this too. If it were up to us, he would be locked up for life so he could never see the field again.
