I keep looking for the next Kat (don't we all!!). This kid has the speed despite his size to have Kat-like abilities. I don't know if he has the football instincts that Kat had though. But he obviously has more brainpower than Kat ever hoped to have. If Vrabel can't win over an Ohio boy who is a middle linebacker, Vrabs will have to hand in his Linebackers club membership card!

This is a very smart kid who has been blowing up recently...and, he is a kid. Give him time to check things out. My guess is that he will do a good job of analyzing the merits of all of the schools that have offered. Of course, I REALLY hope that he selects OSU since the academic side will give him all that he wants/needs and the football side...well, that goes unsaid. Give this kid time and let him make the right decision for him. As Baximus pointed out, UWV is as much, or more, of a home state team for a St. Clairsville boy who was born in WVa. Also, we should not forget that PA is pretty darn close as well, so we have a fight on our hands and hopefully Urban can show him that OSU is the best place for him to be.

Keep in mind that St. Clairsville is literally on the Ohio River border with West by God Virginia. It might actually be a longer ride to Columbus than Morgantown, if you can believe it........
But I really hope that we can beat out WVU and Penn State for a kid inside our borders we really want.
Luckily, he's still got a while to go before committing it appears.....

Yeah, I grew up just south of St. Clairsville, and Morgantown is closer than Columbus. I never met many WVU fans though, until crossing the river into Wheeling. Most people in Belmont county are big Buckeye fans, regardless of the proximity to West Virginia.
Now, Steelers fans on the other hand...they are everywhere around there and it always pissed me off.

Why not recruit Ferns as an "athlete" and still go hard after Garrett, McMillian & Booker at LB?
Ferns could be a hell of an H-back too....

Wouldn't feel terrible if this kid went to WVU, he grew up a fan and as we Buckeyes who grew up in the Woody era, well, loyalty is hard to shake.
