Seeing the 40 times that were reported from The Opening reminded me of a conversation I had with a friend recently who has a son playing linebacker at an NAIA college (nice program but still NAIA). He claimed they had 20 kids who posted at least a 4.4. I kept my mouth shut but knew it couldn't be true. So how do some of these schools come up with those times? Are they handheld and the coaches are just jumpy, or do the staffs flat out lie to the kids? I wish I had a dollar for every ex-player I have run into who claims they posted a 4.5 back in the day Truth is that is flying. Any thoughts on this?

My best time was a 4.49 I ran consistently ln 4.5 but that was Han held years ago I was fastest kid in school only a few of us could even run a 4.5 and we were smaller wr/cb I weighed 140 lbs back then. Now u got 260 lbs kids claiming they run 4.5 a few big guys can fly but yeah I think coaches try to boost their confidence
