I really see a 'silver lining' in the whole bowl ban thing for 2012. During the season, it allowed our players to adjust to a new coaching staff; it allowed our coaches to see what they have and install the new system, and all of this without the pressure that would have come with a BCS ranking and potential BCS bowl. Not sure this team would have been 12 and 0 under 'normal' pressure.
As it is, we have great momentum heading into Year Two under Urban Meyer where we will be highly rated with the potential of playing for a National Championship with a 25 game win streak!
And while the lack of bowl practices hurts, I think we even can find a positive there...it gives our players a break from the grind before the rigors of a pressure packed 2013. This news that Urban will be on ESPN during bowl week just adds to the positives. The recruiting/PR of his presence in this venue is incalculable in terms of building the 'It' program perception you are talking about Bax. It's all so very good, Friends! Where are my 'shades', cause the future looks awfully bright!

Bax - just do not think as many people get upset over the "hat dance" as you seem to think. The fact is that most OSU recruits were already in the fold by the time those all star games are played. How many people actually watch them anyway? Not many.

I agree, but remember that the players we now have time to cultivate are still playing...in national and local all star games.I would rather have 5 star players playing against 5 stars in Jan. than 3 stars practicing in Dec. for spots they won't win in the fall.

GREAT article but u come off showing slight favoritism to tOSU! LOL..... I am ready to get these commits on board and then set back and watch Urban and his staff mold them into National Champs!
