The People's Champ had plenty of reasons to pick against the Buckeyes ...did he?
The People's Champion
I expect this to be an extremely close 3 quarters, and then our offense exploding in the 4th to win by 14-17. This year's team seems to play better in big games (maybe meyer is having difficulty motivating our guys for purdue and indiana because of bowl ban) and when their backs are against the wall. Interested to hear responses
Thx Bax... not to sure about this one, but hey, with the way the season has been playing out you have got to love the Bucks in this one. I think we will turn up the heat on D and have a pick or two.
Great article, People's Champ! Any chance of you doing a short article on Mark May? Thanks!
Gonna have to outscore them...I'm real concened about our D in this game...opposing teams are really scheming to expose our weaknesses and O'Brien will definately have some things for us. The weather may neutralize, but I really don't see this as a 17-16 MSU game...more like the high scoring game PSU and NW played.
Those Who Stay Will Be Championshipless
Love it! :)
Would any of the Bucknuts staff EVER not be a homer and pick the other team???
You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life.
Bax, after reading your article I have a little more confidence we can pull out a victory. Good read, thanks buddy!
Bax... Up vote on the Mark May article! Well said, great read!!
I just don't know how our relatively inexperienced team will handle the hostile environment. We are so thin due to injuries it makes me nervous as well. I go back and forth on this game, but in the end I see a gut wrenching defeat for PSU and the actual beginning of the end for the next decaed for this program.
Bucks pull away late....
If being confident of a win tomorrow constitutes a homer consider me Hank Aaron. Bucks are gonna roll em baby!
This game will be no contest...OSU wins big...something like 38 to 21...
IF Brax is on target throwing the ball, we win. If hes missing wide open guys then we are in trouble.
I look for the "old" Matt McGloin to return to form throwing at least 2 INT's with at least one of them a pick 6.
Oh man! I do hope you're right Bax. I just see Travis Howard biting on the under route and .... you know the rest of the story. As a famous man once said. Couple that with the missed tackles and you have a VERY long day for the Buckeye Nation. Wish I could be more optimistic.
Stuebenville, OH is only 40 min from Pitts. There has to be a buckeye sports bar in town. Stubenville is crazy about football. Do us all a favor and look into it!!!!

I keep reading from other sources how PSUites talk about their great defense and how they are going to get to Braxton-it is almost as if they don't take into account our O-line, with a bunch of veteran guys who relish "crumpling" (per Mr. Fragel) defenders. We also have RBs, TEs and WRs who also enjoy that, in addition to running/catching the ball. So it should be interesting. We also have Williams, Simon and Boren in there on D to rally the troops. Cautiously optimistic, but that doesn't mean that there won't be times that I will have to walk away from the TV or go nuts...
