After Urban beats Michigan in Columbus this year, UofM will be 2-10 in the 2000 era.
Thad Matta is 16-3 against Michigan in hoops, and could have easily beaten them by 30 in the Big Ten tourney.

This is more UofM trying to fuel a rivalry in the 2000 era that is one sided for Ohio State, not even close.

This is like Notre Dame fans saying the rivalry is back with USC because they beat USC two seasons again when Matt Barkley was hurt and USC was on probation, USC destroyed Notre Dame last year with Barkley back.
The same 2000 era, USC has beaten Notre Dame like a drum, just like Ohio State has done to Michigan.
Nope, the 2000 era I live 12 years into, there is no rivalry, OSU has dominated Michigan, it is just UofM bunk to try and fuel a fire that has been out.
Meyer will put a signature stamp beating on UofM in Columbus this fall if he can, just like he did several times to top 10 Georgia, FSU and Miami teams during his UF tenure to shut them up and put them in their place.
I still remember a top 10 Miami team that talked crap a whole off season and week before a Florida game, Urban took all three time outs during the final two minutes, drove the length of the field with Tebow and gang and hung another TD on them with under a minute to go to make that game even more lopsided. He is the wrong guy to mess with.

It's not disrespect, it is insecurity.
When Hart made his little brother reference to MSU, he drew the ire of Dantonio and MSU and they have not beat them since. They should have learned from that, you play on the field, not running your mouth off of it.
UofM is pure insecurity. Meyer was hired late after they won a BCS bowl, and the close of the 2012 recruiting and college football was more Urban Meyer hype than Michigan, and rightfully so, Meyer is a hall of fame coach if he never coaches again.
Insecurity my man, teams that know they are good do not talk like this, they know they are good.

Thad Matta answered that in a fund raiser with Urban, when they asked Thad about all the "Ohio" and other references, Thad answered: "my man, I am 16-3 against them, they can call us what they want." Thad summed it up pretty well.

he rilvery has always been this way and always will be.......we respect to disrespect each other....it goes in fazes we dominate then they dominate all the while the dominated team/fans gets more and more angry until they dominate. I have been watching this for 47 years and its always fun......but social media has taken this to new levels the players, coaches and fans are more accessible and all reading the same stuff. This is not the first time a recruit burnt a rivals offer letter nor the last. Not the first or last time for fake death threats. not the first time an osu coach wont say the name of the school up north and yes the kids are coached this completely (i.e.. spending 15 minutes of every practice working on beating scum)... ...hell didn’t Alabama just have some 100 year old trees poisoned by auburn fans? But this is tosu and espn loves the negative headlines for us....

It always has flare ups near the game, but I dont recall it being such an angry, contentious, and well, classless (on the Meatchicken side) like it is now. This has been going on pretty much since Meyer was hired.

You have a couple things, Meatchicken is feeling a bit inferior to us, even with the win last year. So to jazz the players up, Hoke the joke has been fanning the flames so to speak. Besides only going something like 3 - 12 against us in the last 15 seasons, they now are afraid (as the rest of the conference is) that just when they thought they had us down, we get Meyer and are going to be right back on top. So they are threatened and feeling inferior due to the streak.

Look at it this way, we nearly beat them (would have if not for 2 overthrows by Miller) with our worst team since the 1890s record wise. We were at their place, playing a BCS team, supposedly. Sorry, but they know they arent all the way back yet, so they are trying to give this false bravado thing. But its good for the rivalry because honestly, I was starting to hate Wisky more the last few years rather than Meatchicken. The games are going to be much nastier on the field beginning this year I think. .
