Sounds more like interstate gambling. Pinnacle closed their doors to US players more then 5 years ago. Rumor had it they still catered to high roller US Clients. Also rumored to have US "runners" and "locals".
Off shore sportsbooks (the smart ones) have non American owners and employees. In the past, US owners operating or owning these books were either turned over to the US via turning the heat up on smaller countries and politics or they have been arrested when trying to reenter the U.S. to visit, etc. I believe that is what happened to the BoDog owner or one of the original Pinn owners. The U.S. government can't do anything to foreign owners of these sportsbooks who work in countries where gambling is perfectly legal.
It's legal to place a wager in a country where gambling is legal. But placing a wager here in the the U.S. other then from within the state of Nevada is illegal. Also, I do believe now Oregon has sportsbooks at every gas station where you can play the lotto. It's ran the same way by the state.

Steve, if you are ballsy enough to take 3 dogs on the moneyline and parlay them, you can hit major bank. But it's smarter to take the points and parlay against the spread. You'll get 6:1 odd on average.
Still remember when I took OSU + the points and on the money line vs Miami for the BCS title game. I told my gf that night after the win I think I just butted between how we won and hitting my bets. Not to mention I tossed her in the air about 5 ft and scares the shit out of her. Lol and she was a 5'10" volleyball player!

I see your viewpoint. But poker was begging to get it. They flat out dared the government to take action. TV, commercials, ads, etc.
May I ask which poker site? I used Filt Tilt myself. Never really got into it. Tired of getting f'd on the river by idiots who go all in with duce duce.
The guy who got pinched, should know better. Americans can not own online gambling books etc. or they will come after you.

sorry it was in regards to his claim of hitting this bet last week. I previously pointed out that it is dated 9/22. But another glaring factor that he's full of shat is Rutgers lost last week so he didn't win last week like he claimed.
