Linebacker Darrien Howard is an outstanding talent and the Ohio State staff is well aware of him. He is a definite candidate for a Buckeye scholarship offer.

I personally think this kid is going to outgrow linebacker and be a DE or DT.

Not that I even have the 1st clue when it comes to how you recruit players, I will say this, this kid is a beast on the field... Saw him play against Alter, who is great coached team down here in Dayton, and he was all over the field...

Man, it seems like every up & coming prospect in the state is being shown love from Satan & Alabama! 'Bama apparently seems to see that there's A LOT of talent in Ohio and wants a piece... and probably will get a decent chunk given how slow we've moved on too many good players over the past few years to count.

Thats what I think too. I just don't see him staying at 241 lbs being just a sophmore! He could grow another inch or two and easily put on 30 more pounds before he gets to college! That kid is thick for a 16 year old!

When you're starting at middle linebacker as a freshman wouldn't that typically mean his growth peaked early? I guess it could also mean his team had a vacancy as well and he was thrown into the fire. Either way he is a tackeling machine.
He's definitely stacked.

Another 10 pounds and he would be at Simon's playing weight in HS. We know how that story turned out.
Another "looks like" from the past: Darrion Scott. A LB that became a DT/DE.

If that is the case he can be a hell of a DT prospect. I think we still offer him and worry about where he fits in when he gets here. Kid looks like an ox.

Totally agree. I've seen this kid work out and he's the real deal. He's probably 250 right now. Won't be surprised if he's offered after camp.

Totally agree. I've seen this kid work out and he's the real deal. He's probably 250 right now. Won't be surprised if he's offered after camp.

Looking at this kids frame and age by time he becomes a senior he will be a DT or maybe a DE but LB no way!

It will be interesting to see how this kid develops the next two years. With dedication in the weight room I think he'll be around 280 when he leaves High School. I could see him being an outstanding 3 tech in the Big 10.

Like the Darion Scott comparison, especially for a kid his age.
Non stop recruiting updates from Ohio in several age groups, and 247 leverage updates always coming up like on Jacquay Williams and Bucky Hodges for a few.
