They do them back to back that day. All the tickets are General Admission (except presidents club) so the earlier you get in there the better.

The Lacrosse game is played prior to the spring game while people are making their way into the shoe and claiming their seats. They have been doing this for a few years now. The tickets are considered good for both events.
Basically, the lacrosse game serves as entertainment for the fans who show up early to get good seats, and the lacrosse team gets a chance to compete in front of a large crowd and gain some exposure for their sport.

I just ordered mine on ticketmaster, plus my wife is a big soccer fan because she's colombian, so I ordered is two tix to the crew game that night. Should be a good day for us! Also this will be her first time to the shoe and I can't wait for her to see it.
