I have a friend that works at Verizon that got to take each home and use extensively. She liked the iPad better, but admittedly she still doesn't own either.

Apple is superior in everything, except price, now that pretty much everything is compatible. If you can get the iPad, go for it. If you can afford to get the MacBook with Retina Display, get that instead though, as laptops > tablets. The picture is so good on that 15 inch laptop, that it has more pixels than a 60 Inch HDTV.

My work is going paperless in the next 3 months everyone above is iPad and I am wanting to join in. Schedules, inventory, everything can be done with on device. I think the time is now, everything else is pc. That's why I'm looking.

The iPad is easily the best. And if you already have an iPhone, this is a no brainer. Use your same iTunes account and share apps on both devices so you don't have to buy new ones.
Your next purchase decision should be an Apple TV.

If you have an Iphone , I would definately get an Ipad. If you have an Android phone, then you should consider other tabs in addition to the Apple.

Gfortress, definitely iPad all the way. I have one and it is great. I can't attest to the others but I guarantee you won't be disappointed. It's the most supported with the most apps, games, movies; you name it. You will get your money's worth. For sure a good investment.

The 2 best things out there are ipad and Kindle Fire.You are wasting your time with everything else IMO. If you want to go cheap go fire and if money is not a concern go ipad.

• Kind of late, but the iPad is far and away the best. They are going to be coming out with a 7in one later this year and also the iphone 5 (really 6). They are saying the 7in is to put the kindle fire to rest, because it will be $199 also or around that price.
Everything I have is i, I have an iphone 4 (would upgrade, but waiting for the iphone 5), ipad 2 and my appleTV.
My appleTV is jailbroken and I have Plex on it, so I steam my computer movie library of more that 1300 movies to my 60in TV, I love it (my 5yr old tries taking it over though).
They are talking about an actual TV coming out within the year and if you love the iphone/ipad you will not be able to live without this next generation TV, it will make everything else Childs play, Apple’s HDTV is set to revolutionize the TV industry.
