    We can't offer everyone, although sometimes it looks like it.. BTW, how many of their 2013 commits did we offer?

  • Honestly, Hoke is doing exactly what he is doing. Locking up the Ohio kids that are just under the level of guys that Meyer is going after very early. However it is also a risk to take kids this early as sometimes kids max out and get passed over by others during their senior years.

  • Even great coaches, like Urban, would admit that they can't predict exactly how players will turn out a few years from now. Just because we didn't offer doesn't mean we want to see these talented kids with high ceilings go to our rival, especially when there are so many of them doing so. Just because we went elsewhere with our offers doesn't mean we want to play against these guys.

  • Hoke is establishing roots in Ohio. He is establishing relationships with the coaches and he sighting good payers who will help him get others in the future and maybe even the top players. Don't underestimate him. He is getting the players he needs to win there.

    What Hoke is doing is going after the guys we have had visit but not offer. They are down bwecause tOSU did not offer, then SCUM sweeps in and grabs them. Pretty smart on his part except the guys we will end up will be better than theirs.

    I would argue except for the fact Urban is at the helm.

    You are right. Butt, Charlton, and others are the types of borderline guys eclipsed by the new OSU talent/system.

    At DE, I would easily take Tashawn Bower, Elijah Daniel, Garrett Sickles, or Joey Bosa over Taco.

    At TE, I would take Heuerman or Breneman over Butt.

    I'm willing to bet by signing day, overall we will have the better players at each position.

    Oh I completely agree. However, I see maybe Bosa on that list of DE's coming to Ohio St. And even he is a long shot at best. By not offering Taco, we could potentially miss out on all of those guys.

    OSU is in good shape with Bower, he has most of his relatives in Ohio and the Columbus area and they want him to come here, he even stated the Meyer hire helped OSU even more on the top of that impressive list.
    Bosa is coming for the whole spring game weekend, has relatives here and his relative Eric Kumerow played here, not sure he is such a long shot.
    It is rumored OSU is in great shape with Daniel, who is visiting soon, maybe a Bama offer edges over us or Florida.
    OSU also has an offer out to Muhammad of Bosco Prep, and Sickels is no long shot with the NJ kids we are bringing in.
    #1 WSDE Jonathon Allen is the nephew of Will Allen, he is from Virginia and he and his dad are huge Buckeye fans being from Ohio. An OSU offer puts us right there with Alabama.
    Jason Hatcher was just visiting OSU and is an elite DE, and he is the teammate of Jordan Whiting from Louisville Trinity.
    We are in better shape and in on more elite DE's than most know.
    Coaches like Meyer at UF, Saban and Pete Carroll at USC did not dominate college football and recruit the best kids by hedging their bets early and taking homies down their chart on their big board, they took their time and went toe to toe with each other for the best recruits, and their results speak for themselves.
