According to multiple reports, Michigan State has found its new offensive coordinator, and it's a familiar face.
Both FootballScoop.com and CoachingSearch.com are reporting that Michigan State will hire Jim Bollman to replace Dan Roushar. Roushar left East Lansing earlier this month to take a job with the New Orleans Saints.
Bollman had recently been hired to be the offensive line coach at Purdue.
He has plenty of experience coaching alongside Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio. They first worked together under Jim Tressel at Youngstown State before coaching together under Nick Saban at Michigan State. Both coaches would then move on to Ohio State to work for Tressel again, and both were on the Ohio State coaching staff during the 2002 national championship season.
Bollman was Ohio State's offensive coordinator and offensive line coach from 2001 to 2011, though he didn't call plays until after Tressel was fired and Luke Fickell took over in 2011. He was not retained by Urban Meyer in 2012 and left for Boston College where he coached the offensive line before leaving for the Purdue job this offseason.
