Wait a minute.... Brady Hokes Father was a Buckeye? ( may he rip) And he played for Woody Hayes? I truly am hearing this for the first time. I dont mean to come off ignorant or disrespectful but i wonder what his Dad thought about his sons disrespect for the entire state of Ohio let alone the Buckeyes. It also makes me curious to the fact that Brady Hoke has been a Michigan fan since he was a child.
Where did this guy go off track?

John Hoke played at Miami, Ohio for Hayes, not OSU. And Schembechler was on the staff also, at Miami when John played

I was thinking the same thing. I can't believe I'm just now finding out that Hoke's father played for Woody at Ohio State.
Edit: Now I see the above post. I feel better. Hoke played at Miami University for Woody; not at OSU.

As much sh*t as we sling at Hoke....I hate for anyone to lose their dad. Definitely thoughts and prayers directed towards him and his family.

Hate to see anyone lose a father. Even if it's the enemy; that's put aside. Prayers for Hoke and family through and through.

Losing my father was one of the hardest things I have endured. Oddly, Brady Hoke is in my thoughts and my heart goes out to him.

Threads like this are great examples of how classy Buckeye fans can be.
M*chigan is the arch-enemy and #1 rival. But when their head football coach loses his father, Buckeye fans are posting respectful and thoughtful messages of condolences.

I'm glad he got to see his kid achieve a lifelong dream and succeed early at scUM. This one time, I will make an exception and offer condolences to Brady Hoke. RIP John Hoke.
