Johnny Anzalone Townsend...........that's how he will be remembered.
I don't blame him for wanting to stay closer to home, but golly gee........MAYBE make that decision sometime prior to signing day.

Not too hard to understand. He got a last minute offer from Florida, and with all the family ties, he decided to stay close to home. I'm sure it wasn't an easy choice.

Pretty clear what happened...Meyer didnt have room because he got more commitments the last 3 days than he thought. So he had to cut the punter, but in return rather than just say I have no room. He knew that Florida had room because we got one of the kids they thought they might get in when the one Wr committed to us instead of them. To create a win win situation, Meyer got in touch with Florida and pulled some strings to get him in there. Also keeping him away from Bama! Boom!!! So Townsend got to stay close to home, go to a big time school and we got our WR and the fences are slightly mended with Fla because Meyer directed one of the best punters in the country their direction.
Anyone buy this? I think it makes sense!

omg. move on people. guess it's ok for people to flip to us but not the other way around be it on the last day or not.
life ain't perfect - always bumps in the road. I'm sure meyer's dealt with worse before and things will happen like this again to us. that's recruiting.
