I just really laugh at all the overboard reactions to our OL situation. It is very ammusing. Here is what I posted in the other thread and will post here...
Count me, once again, as very content about our OL situation even if we get just one more OL recruit to go with Lisle. Heck, I dont want them to reach on any OL and would be fine if Lisle was the only recruit signed. We lose just one OL in Fragel after this year and 4 the year after when the 2014 class is loaded. Would I like to add 1 and maybe 2 top end OL this year to go with Lisle, sure, but am not the least concerned if we don't.
We have 13 OL on schollie right now and lose one after this year. We have 4 who are pretty much only tackles (SR Fragel, JR Mewhort, FR Decker, FR Dodson), another 4 who can play tackle if needed (JR Norwell, JR Hall, SO Baldwin, FR OConnor), 3 guards (SO Underwood, FR Brown, FR Elflein) and 2 centers (JR Linsley, FR Boren).
Add in Lisle next year and you replace one T (Fragel) with another. Of course in 14 we need at least 2 tackles and 2 guards. If we can get another elite tackle then you take 5 in 14.
And I didnt include the 4 veteran walk-ons who can play and will play if they continue to get better in JR Blackmon, SO Kramer, SO St. John and FR Trummer. That gives us a minimum of 17 OL on this years roster and that doesnt include any additional walk-on linemen.
Always borrow money from a pessimist; he won't expect it back.
The closest that I will ever get to a Buckeye ring or Gold Pants. Saw it sold on e-bay April 29, 2011 for $8500.
