Personally, this looks like the tweeter was just losing a battle of discussion, turned to get some support on twitter, and the thing is being over blown.
But I'm still confused as to who jake russell is.
I even checked the soccer roster to see if the writer was confused.

Wow! Interesting what "we" consider as hate, intolerance, bigotry, etc. Also, it's interesting that someone decided to use the institutional powers that be to tar and feather that kid for such a dopey tweet. Sounds a bit like intolerance in the name of tolerance by the athiests. Perhaps they are flexing their muscle as a relatively new protected grievance group. I suppose the lesson here should be that these kids had better learn to aim their spite toward the folks we are allowed to hate. You know, Christians, Jews, red necks, conservatives, the rich, angry white males.......

Wow. Most of us are crazy for the Bucks and I bet maybe only 10% of us actually knew who this guy was. But the formula is out there for the media. Tie Ohio State to a controversy and it will grow legs. I bet more people will hear of the group "american aethiests" due to this so called story than from any event in the history of their organization. I don't condone hatred toward any group except the douche bags up north but this looks to me like a media play. Let the whole story come out first. Then explain to the aa's that a walk on kicker has a little less pull than your typical player.
