I bet the next story we will read about the case is how the alleged victim wants to recant,says she exaggerated,wants to "drop charges",is "sorry". My cynicism in cases like this comes from long experience,on both sides. When someone pleads "Not Guilty" to DV;respect the presumption of innocence,or get out your best "roasted crow" recipe,you might need it.

If he's guilty I hope he is punished to the point where he learns. If he's innocent, I certainly hope they re-evaluate his status and allow him to continue regardless of his abilities on the football field.

Please read the charges against Klein. Assault which means NO physical contact was made against the other person. If he had hit the person he would have charged with assault and battery. Assault means the other person had the apprehension that violence may occur. Assault can be easily levied against someone simply if that person says something threatening and a reasonable person would consider it to be a threat. Klein was not charged with hitting somebody.
