Why should a grown ass man have to leave HIS OWN DAMN HOUSE just because some chick lost her mind? If this was a dude showing up at some woman's house ya'll would of called the dude a nut case. Klein should of called the police on her ass.

With the benefit of hindsight, Klein most likely vacates his own premises, calls the cops and avoids getting charged with a crime. Given the general craziness that accompanies any "domestic squabble", it's not surprising he didn't make the best decision. Being a young adult and lacking maturity don't help either.

The "Team Klein" poster who has participated in this thread has stated that the ex-GF grabbed Storm's cell phone and smashed it thus keeping him from calling 9-1-1. For sake of argument, I'll assume that's true--it's believable and the likelihood is that he probably doesn't have a traditional land line.

And you're right. Why should a man have to leave his own house? Especially if there is an irate ex-GF methodically destroying property throughout the apartment. If he leaves and uses a neighbor's phone, then what kind of damage is she capable of doing?

The problem (or legal issue) to be resolved is whether SK had a right to use any physical force to remove an unwanted "guest" from his premises. And if he did have some right to excercise force, then did he exceed what a reasonable person would do under similar circumstances?

The fact of the matter is that people are most likely to be at their absolute worst (in terms of behavior, character, attitude, etc.) during the height of an argument with a significant other. Regardless, people are also expected to exercise self-control and react with maturity even if the other party is completely nutty. Storm definitely could've handled this better; his failure to do so is a costly mistake in terms of his reputation, his college career; and lastly in terms of legal fees.
