Good Lord, who cares about Scout?

Everyone cares about rankings. They just don't guarantee anything. But honestly they are right more than they are wrong. Having said that... Marcelys Jones the 27th best OG in the nation 3* on scout. Parris Cambell 40th overall... Jalen Hurd... 41st. Not a knock against Parris. I think he's a top 100 guy. But he's not better than Jalen Hurd. And they also have him as a RB, which he is unlikely to play.

Final analysis- Scout smokes meth.

Rankings this early are meaningless. Half of these guys havent even been viewed live. And you are basing your Campbell & Hurd expertise on youtube highlight videos? Campbell is 15.

Even though scout was the only service that ranked the buckeye class #1 in the nation.

Yep, just because something benefits us doesn't mean we shouldn't criticize it if it is bad.

They had Alabama's class laughably low, and were extremely high on Michigan's class. Just because they had us as #1 doesn't mean we should have been.

And this year Rivals has Watson as a 5 star (Urban obviously agrees completely), while Scout had him as a 3 star until recently, and still has him much lower than he should.

Just a lot of choices across the board that don't pass the eye test when comparing films.

I feel like to criticize today would be dumb... No one knows right now. You would have to look at their rankings from 4 years ago to see how right they were. I'm sure every service has their hits and misses. I can clearly remember they were the only ones who had John Simon a 5 star. Most other services had him at 3 stars. Also until the final ranking comes out its all a work in progress. It's just their opinion, and without a detailed study into their projections from the past compared to other peoples, it seems silly to criticize, especially based on this year or last years rankings as none of these kids have played a down of college football. It's just nice to see what people's opinion is, if you don't care for one site's opinion ignore it.
