they are giving out awards for this "season?" what a farce.

even if the heat win it this year, it's a hollow title. It's a hollow title regardless of who wins it. everyone knows it but money dictates that "everyone" pretends that it is a legit season.

the NBA is a joke. Great athletes but still a joke.

How is this not a legit season? They started a little late and only played half way too many games.

You seriously have something against the NBA, where on the doll did it touch you?

I don't even really like the NBA, I only watch occasionally in the playoffs because basketball in general annoys me. It just seems like you have an irrational dislike for the NBA.

Right, now we can hope that he chokes again in the playoffs. He seems to do worse after winning MVP. I know the Heat will win eventually; I would just like them to wait a few years.

  • Apparently, you don't have to be clutch to be the MVP.

Yes, we are. Is there a bounty program in basketball?

HAHA I hear ya,,, I'm a Bulls fan, I just don't like his persona but his game has few flaws. Mainly the mental aspect and lack of a back to the basket game but other than that. He could win 2 or 3 more MVPs.

  • Lebron earned this MVP. Hope the Heat lose in the playoffs this year also. I am a Lakers fan. Kobe should have won both the years that Steve Nash won his. It is a popularity contest just like the MVP awards in baseball and football.

On a whole different level then college. The only college hoops I can really watch is Ohio State and March Madness.

I'm just the opposite. The only NBA I can really watch are the playoffs. However, my NBA glass is not half empty like many on here.
If LeBron never wins a championship he will still be the best player to ever play the game. And he might be the best athlete on the planet - ever. Does anyone doubt he would be the most dominant player in the NFL if he chose to do so? Think about him running the high hurdles (low hurdles?) - he'd have to drastically decrease his stride. Or throw the discus or javelin? Or run the 200 or 400 dash? Or be a major league pitcher? - (Would you dig in against him?) Or drive a 400 yard green? Just saying.

He is not the greatest to ever play the game of basketball, and will not even be in the same conversation until he wins A ring, then a few more. You can't be the greatest and not win. He will undoubtedly be the greatest to never win a ring. Physically he is the greatest specimen in basketball history but thats about it right now. NBA elite status is based on winning, not stats. Because statistically, Wilt is the greatest ever but in terms of stats, winning, and how he win, MJ will always be recognized as the GOAT. His only competition are guys who were 7 feet tall, he was 6'6 and dominated the greatest era of basketball in NBA hisotry, 80s-90s!

The greatest specimen and greatest ever is Wilt Chamberlin. Lebron and Shaq are runner ups as specimens.

I'm with ya but I'm a little on the fence about that because Wilt was just the biggest of his time in an era when men his size didn't play. Shaq was bigger than he is so I can understand Shaq and LBJ comparison. But when you consider the era he played in, he was the greatest specimen of his time.

their ratings are dismal, most teams are losing money, the players are all (for the most part) thugs and ego maniacs and their commish is a bozo.

other than that, the NBA is great.
