I know a bunch of people are going to jump down my throat, but I think Lebron at this moment is the best basketball player I have ever seen. Never saw Oscar, but he sounds incredible. Lebron is just unstoppable. Bigger, faster, stronger. His shot has become much better, and his field goal percentage for the past 5 games or so is around 70. He rebounds and assists as well as anyone, and is a tremendous passer. I have never been more impressed with any player.

I also suspect you are too young to remember the great Michael Jeffrey Jordan. When LeBron racks up 6 NBA titles, and 6 Finals MVP awards, then let's talk "greatest."

Let's see him do it in the post season multiple years in a row.

Jordan lost, but he didn't choke or quit like LBJ did early in his career.

Let's see what he does from here.

Jordan battled until the last breath he had before breaking through. Jordan didn't switch teams and join forces with 2 all stars and a HOF coach.

Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant/Dennis Rodman, Phil Jackson. Sounds like 2 all-stars and a HOF coach to me.

Anyway, this is such a treat to watch Lebron play the game. As a basketball fan I don't need to compare championship rings to know when I am watching the game being played at the highest level. Only he and MJ have ever been here. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.

    This.

Compare the above team to the LeBron era Cavs. Does anyone believe LeBron could not win as many or more with the talent MJ had around him? Any one of those guys would have helped him win the finals the Cavs got swept in (especially Pippen). And what about the coaching?
Another question - could MJ have taken that same Cavs group to the finals the way LeBron did? Really?

Not close to the same thing. Scottie was a young kid, not a guy that lead a team to an NBA championship by himself. Comparing Horace Grant to Chris Bosch is comical. He was the center piece of the Raptors. Ho Grant was no center piece. And Phil Jackson was a rookie coach, who didn't have Pat Riley in the front office.

Plus you had to see the battles Jordan put on until he broke through. That's the biggest difference. Lebron literally quit on his team. And then he bolted. I'd be really surprised if he has close to the mental makeup to do it over the duration Jordan did.

Let me ask you a question. Do you think Jordan loses to Dirk Nowitzki and a band of misfits?

I am not too young and in fact lived in Chicago during the Jordan era and personally attended a lot of games with those Jordan highlight shots that still keep playing today. Michael Jordan was UNBELIEVABLY great. Better than anyone. Unlike Jordan, I have never seen Lebron in person. But, I have to say, I watch him on TV every time he plays. If I had my pick between a ticket to see Jordan in his prime or Lebron now, I couldn't pick one over the other. I truly believe Lebron will be the greatest of all time and I'm not sure he isn't already.
I could care less Lebron left Cleveland. I also say to those that think Jordan was solo, you sure didn't see Scottie Pippin play. And there were 3 point shooters lying in weight when Jordan was double teamed. And in Jordan II, Dennis Rodman controlled the paint on either end of the floor in addition to Pippin and the 3 point shooting supporting cast.
And if you ever had the pleasure of being in a small group presence with Michael you would have realized the person that held Michael in the highest esteem was Michael himself. And to those that can't forget Lebron's "meltdowns" I was a Bulls fan when Michael melted down so bad that he walked away from the game for a few years. Yes the fans were destroyed. But were they bitter? Not really. Just disappointed.
Let go of the hate and Be Witnesses! This is something that may never be witnessed again.

    Yep.

Reasoning? I need more than MJ was the best, he'd never let his team lose argument. Lebron did it by himself. Micheal couldn't.
