People are really rude, but MattC also trolls the board. He made a thread about Hurd committing to the Buckeyes. He made a personal thread to someone to answer a pm. He made a thread giving the staff a list of people to ban. If I had to guess, I'd say MattC is about 15 years old, but I don't think that's the case.
And as far as the staff - I'd say MattC's posts are a lot more likely to get people turned off to Bucknuts than the people attacking him. If I was looking at the board for the first time and saw insane threads like the ones he's started, I sure wouldn't want to stick around.

I will get downvoted like crazy for this, but because my self-esteem isn't attached to the internet, I could care less. Lately, there have been several threads where the behavior has been out of control in my opinion. The main target has been MattC. Does he get on my nerves occassionally? I'd be lying if I said no. However, the sheer hatred that some posters have posted at him is ridiculous. Do you think it makes you a big man to hide behind a computer screen and attack someone viciously because he gets on your nerves on a fricking website? Calling him hateful names, wishing he were dead, etc. Just put him on ignore. Confident men don't need to pound others down to feel better about themselves, cowards do.
MattC - for you bro, I can tell by your posts that you are taking a lot of this personally. My advice, lay low, enjoy the great content from the Bucknuts staff, and don't worry about any of it. You might want to think twice about what you're posting, and ask yourself if it is adding value to the forum? If not, consider starting a blog where you can vent your opinions. But remember, who cares about what posters on Bucknuts think, the only opinion that matters is the Father's in Heaven. I have prayed for you.
Bucknuts staff - surprised at some of the comments and behavior you tolerate on the forum. I'm all for freedom of speech and diversity of opinion, but when its clear posters are personally attacking others, it turns off a lot of your other subsribers who don't often speak up.

drMiller, I understand where you are coming from. I just think the mature thing would be to put him on ignore. I actually did today. I don't have a problem with him, but I just don't enjoy his posts.
The Hurd thread is the thread I am talking about. I don't think he is trolling, I think he was genuinely duped. I agree it was silly to not check the source, and it probably got a lot of people worked up. Nonetheless, this is college football. It's not worth tormenting another person over. That Hurd thread was just piling it on. It reminded my of a bunch of highschoolers beating up some 8th grader and locking him in a locker and laugh and joke about it, like that somehow makes them badasses. Instead, it makes them small.
There is enough hate in the world. Let's just enjoy ourselves on the forums.
