It doesn't seem at all like Urban Meyer "booted" this kid. The kid said he wanted to look around, and it seems like Urban Meyer said that's fine, but we don't consider you committed then. Not we're done with you, not don't ever call us again, just "that's fine, but you're no longer a commit, so someone can take your spot." I think that's the perfect approach and I think Neal is still legitimately considering tOSU and we have 12 commits. Keeping it moving...

Also, I don't know if anyone else noticed , but I think Neal is the only recruit out of the 13 that said they were pushed hard for a commitment. He seems like he was, and probably still is, feeling tOSU, but never like he was fully ready to pull the trigger. I think his mistake was committing, not de-committing.

I also think all the good riddance talk is ridiculous. With the size and body shape he already has, if our staff sees the ability for him to play linebacker, after Marriotti is done with him he could be that 245-250 lb linebacker, crushing people, that we rarely have. That being said, I doubt Neal is the difference between a championship or not over the next 4 years, only 2 or 3 kids will fall into that category.
