As if the Ohio State-Michigan recruiting battles were not hot enough, Kyle Kalis has de-commited and is visiting Michigan on Saturday with talk of an Ohio big three going with Brady Hoke. Story updated tonight.

Doesn't sound very good Bill. We're really starting to see all the issues and how they're affecting recruiting. Considering the low numbers on the offensive line how important is it that he sticks with his commitment?

As long as these kids can hang in there until the season starts, and Michigan starts sucking ass again, then we'll be ok.

This would be horrible if he de-commits and goes to scUM. He is the base of our class, but right now he sounds like he is leaning toward scUM. I'm really starting to dislike Strobel...

Someone please have Mr. Kalis take a peek at our 2011 recruiting class. Going against Strobel and Wormley in practice does not compare to playing against Bennet, Farris, Hayes, Miller, and Hale for at least 3 years of his playing career should he choose scum.

What happened to the kid who just recently said he would come to OSU camp and help recruit? Amazing! I don't fault anybody for keeping options open. Heck even the staff encourages other visits. Just hard for me to understand how his mindset changed so much so fast.

I have no idea why we think the sky is falling. We WILL be back! For the ones that stay they will be champions as the Buckeyes have been this whole century almost. What are recruits basing michigan on...adidas, their recent winning records, the big house...? Come on, I live in michigan and right now there is a false sense of reality that one recruiting class and they are back...please!...what about if they get crushed again this year and show NO improvement...Ohio kids that go to michigan can have fun playing for hoke...once we get our coach in place watch out! Its on!!! With all the freshman we got coming in. Its on!!!

This is very depressing. It would be hugely helpful if Kalis was recruiting other kids for us, not being swayed by other Ohio kids going out of state.

why is this such a bad thing? he said he will make other visits just like all the other kids doooooo..we have had great osu players take a visit to uofm ofter committing to tosu.......this is another in a long line of overreaction by the media and us buckeyes its really getting old.....the kids says i am committed to tosu doesnt he? imo just a kid using his visits chill out

pretty stupid comment from Kyle. Our DEs are better than scUM's and in saying what he said, he pretty much just disrespected our DEs. If he does come to OSU, there will be an axe to grind for some of our DEs.

Hang in there Kyle! Don't be too harsh or panicky-----wait for the August rulings to see where things stand. In your heart do you want to have Ohio State as the hated team you play every year. If things aren't too harsh,what a hero you could be by being the leader of this class........

just another reason to hate on SI and ESPN. they will never be welcome on campus. kids are to young to stay the course and be patient. if there are sanctions then they will be over by the time they are sophs. kyle, u were an early committ. stick with it, u will not be sorry. the buckeye nation takes better care of its grads than nearly every other school
