  • Yeah, I already posted that.
Ohio State, Rutgers, Maryland, Wisconsin, Penn State, Indiana and Purdue.
    Illinois slides out west.
Ohio States wins here IMHO. We get exposure into hot recruiting states like Maryland and New Jersey full time, we have games there and games now being watched there that helps with the same, and new fan travel into Maryland and New Jersey, and Maryland has hosted games with Notre Dame, Indiana and Penn State at Fed Ex Field.
Rutgers with their new Yes TV contract is talking games at Yankee Stadium, big win for OSU.
We still will rule our side of the ledger.

Yep, if Illinois can ever right the ship that legends division will be a blood bath as MSU, Meatchicken, and Nebraska battle for dominance while historically good teams like Iowa and Illinois could upset the apple cart.

I don't mind it for basketball either.

  • Don't forget the basketball benifits---Maryland usually has a solid team.....nice addition to the B10/

I don't think we use divisions for basketball, only football.

Doesn't change the fact that Maryland is actually a pretty good pick-up in Basketball.

Nebraska made the B10 worse in basketball, Maryland and Rutgers are pretty good when it comes to basketball.

I agree that neither team helps much in football, but it does broaden the recruiting base and opens up the door to go after VA Tech and/or VA. Once you get a team from VA, then you can go after NC, NC State, and/or Tennessee without breaking-up the footprint.

Let's not forget Army and Navy could technically be added now as well. I know neither really brings much in terms of basketball and/or football (consistently), but adding Army and Navy brings another HUGE rivalry game into the mix and adds to the prestige of the conference.
