Recruiting is one of if not the most important part of coaching. Bad coaches don't recruit like thad and bad coaches don't make two final fours. All coaches have flaws. We can argue about his use of the bench. Personally, I felt that in the kansas game, he should have gone with Amir in the 2nd half when DT got in foul trouble. Amir could handle Withe on d as withe wasn't a big threat. Sully had no fouls in the first half so he could have played agressively on d in the second on Robinson. Also, Amir could come over in help defense to get the block when Robinson goes inside. That is often the best position to get the block. Thad finally went for this for about three minutes til he put dt back in. I think amir could have made a defensive difference and taken heat off of sully. Other than that, I think the rushed shot by craft before the half really hurt. He should have been instructed to not shoot with that much time left. We also probably should have stopped going right at Withe in the second half with our guards, as they got blocked every time. That being said, I am very glad to have thad. He will be constantly learning over years and continue to improve. I am very happy with this season.
