I love the response from Urban!! I bet Bielema is now throwing a full-fledged tantrum, kicking and screaming and pounding his fists on the floor. Seriously, if I could get his address, I would send him a box of Pampers.
I wondered though, when he says "we got 9 guys who better do it again". Is he referring to his assistants, saying they need to keep up the aggressive recruiting, or to the other Big 10 coaches, telling them they need to step it up??
Good for Urban. I'm glad he's not giving these guys even an inch. It's not like D'antonio and Bielema were outraged when Kyle Kalis flipped or when AACC was working on Brionte Dunn. Chris Wormley either. Se'von Pittman was headed to OSU until the Tresselgate travesty broke out.
These other coaches need to get their minds right. And if I'm Urban and Delaney wants me to reign things in, I'd tell him to pound sand too. This is about the kids choosing what is best for them once everything is on the table.
Good days, bad days --- always a Buckeye. Time to begin the assault on the 2013 BCS National Championship

Meyer said he calls a recruit and asks if the guy is interested in OSU. If the player says "No" he does not continue to recruit the player. BTW, that is the SAME THING Tressel did.
How else can a coach know for sure whether a kid is already committed? Through the newspapers? Because some rating service (Rivals, 247, Scout, ESPN...) says so? Not even the HS coach knows for sure so you cannot even ask him. All of these sources are fraught with erroneous information.
The college that a player is reputed to be committed to cannot announce a commitment because of NCAA rules to that effect. The only way to be sure is to ask the player himself. I see nothing unethical in doing that.
Wasn't Dantonio actively recruiting Dodson while he was verballed to Wisconsin? Seems people only have issues with things once they end up on the wrong end of the deal. I'd be interested to know if there is something else going on other than "flipping recruits" that has these coaches whining.
