It took Brian Kelly. Dantonio didn't bring much interest. He wasn't the right guy for the job.

It's hardly a bcs school.
Dantonio would have done just fine there but like Kelly he used it as a stepping stone.
Uc is a worthless football program.

My sister lives in Cincy. Basically all of her teachers (she's a principal) are OSU fans. She has one Michigan fan (her janitor-surprise) and a few ND fans. In her development it is mostly OSU fans. People blow that WAY out of proportion.

That isn't what I am saying. I am not saying Kelly is the better coach, but he fit Cincinnati better. Dantonio wasn't exciting to get the fan base started and didn't try to recruit the way that Kelly did. He accepted UC as a 2nd tier program and Kelly didn't. Kelly was opportunistic and was able to build on a backbone that Dantionio brought, but Dantionio wouldn't have been able to go to 2 BCS bowls at Cincinnati. He wouldn't be able to recruit well and didn't run the right style.
