In fact now that Conley is trending towards us we love the kid, but when he committed to Michigan he was some combination of not good enough/afraid of comp/we have bigger fish to fry.

Mack Brown at UT doesn't allow his commits to visit other schools. He has had that policy for many years.

In the case of UT's Mack Brown there is no bullying involved. Mack tells them up front that if they commit he doesn't want them taking visits, so if they want to take visits then don't commit.

It is not a sign of insecurity or a lack of confidence either. It is a sign of strength that he can get by with it, that he has the confidence to do it.

That's his system, has been for many years, and it works well for him. Jim Tressel's system was just about the exact opposite, and it worked well for him, too.

Doesn't Urban do this to some degree as well? I can remember watching one of his interviews during this past offseason where a recruit said something about maybe visiting another school, and Urban said something along the lines of "If you go there, I hope you like it, because that's where you will be going" inferring that he wouldn't be coming to tOSU if he took a visit to another school. I know this happened, just gotta find the interview.

I never consider it stealing when a kid is from Ohio in the first place!

I don't care if he is a 2*, if OSU/Meyer wants him and takes him from Meatchicken then I am loving it!

I think this is why you relentlessly pursue players at all time disregarding the fact that you may only have a couple of spots open. You may have a decommit or two.

This happens all the time. We were used to tress telling recruits to take visits if there was an ounce of doubt before u commit. Seems Hoke rushes to get commits before they r ready and that could bite u in the end.

Too bad Hoke doesn't recruit better so Urb would have more options to pick from.
