Miller = Frazier

  • I feel like Miller is very similar to Tommy Frazier. Check out the run at the 10:43 mark.

    Obviously they play in a different style of offense so that makes the comparison a little harder. Frazier was definitely a better ball handler, but prob because he ran the option all the time. I would say Frazier looks a little better throwing in this video as well but these were clips from his entire career. I would imagine Brax will be on his level throwing by the time he leaves OSU as well. Frazier didn't use the spin move like Brax but they both have the super quick feet and amazing cutting ability.

    I remember as a kid watching a play where Frazier slipped a tackle from all 11 players on the defense. Wildest thing I've ever seen. I wish I could find that again but it was a long time ago.

  • It was probably the play against UF in the NCG. It's there on that video clip near the end. There were like six UF guys with their hands on him and all of a sudden he broke away from all of them for like a 70yd TD.

  • Frazier was a beast!

  • Miller is putting up much higher numbers than Frazier ever did, but Miller doesn't have to give lots of the balls to Ahman Green and Lawrence Phillips like Frazier had to do. I would give the passing nod to Miller but they are pretty even in running skills.

    I remember him. He was such a powerfull runner who was so explosive in the hole. He would run those run/pass option plays and defenses were just screwed. You had to play the run because he would just destroy you. The defense would get sucked up and then he would just go over the top with a pass play. So effective.

    Wish Miller did more run/pass option plays..

    Little bit different type of runner. Frazier was more power and speed where as Miller is also fast but more elusive. You watch Frazier just run through tackles and he would always fall forward. Miller just makes people look stupid. The QB he reminds me most is Mike Vick.

  • Frazier passed like 15 times a game tops. It was run, run, run, run, pass off a play action, run, run....lots of formations. Ridiculous backs. Tons of confusion. I think Frazier gets waaay too much credit as a passer. What you see on that highlight tape is indeed just "highlights". The Frazier I remember was one of the least accurate passers I've ever seen for a contender until he got a little better his senior year, which was still not great. He threw a great looking ball though, I will say that. I don't remember him throwing a lot of INT's because his receiver was so wide open but amazingly he missed A LOT, even worse than Braxton at the same point in their careers. Most of his TD passes were in the redzone when the offense is most confused.

    True story about Frazier's recruitment: He originally chose Colorado but right before he was going to call them and commit, they called him and said they just got Koy Detmer and only wanted Tommy as an athlete, now. The QB they got the year before was Kordell Stewart. So Frazier gets quickly sick of the recruiting thing and ultimately decides to put a Clemson hat and a Nebraska hat in a bag and whichever hat he pulls out, he'll commit there. Had that picked the Clemson hat we may not remember him at all.

    Well based upon an sec team getting housed in a ncg id say the sec us overrated.

    What? That's what they say about osu?
