I still think Delaney has wet dreams about adding Texas. The Longhorn network is not what it was supposed to be so maybe there is something that can be worked out.
This is all about the media and the markets that it can provide for the very large and soon to be negotiated cable contracts for the BigTen Network which is a great success. Why do you think ESPN takes swipes at the BigTen, because we do not need them and the money is going to get larger, because of these two brilliant additions.
Rutgers is a very large university and brings in New Jersey, NY City and Philadelphia (coupled with Penn State in Pennsylvania).
Maryland (also) is a very large university and brings in both Baltimore and Washington DC.
