If this is true about Crean and Craft, does anyone know if Matta let Crean know that kind of stuff is unacceptable? Matta needs to let Crean know in no uncertain terms not to talk to his players like that.
Crean better not mouth off the wrong person or someone is gonna put that little man in his place.
Crean is a cry baby, plain and simple.
Crean need not concern himself with anyone disrespecting the IU program more than he, himself.
I gotta know, Mr. High School senior who commits to play for this guy, Why? You did good by avoiding Ann Arbor, but why subject yourself to this child at IU?
Should he have said that to craft? Probably not. But this is the exact kind of coaching the BIG is lacking in football.
I'd be careful about suggesting a Freshman who hasn't had the benefit of a single snap in a spring game should transfer. Freshman are supposed to be a work in progress.
At one point Hyde was expected to transfer when Boom, Berry, Hall and Smith were all in front of him. The best he was going to be was a fullback.
Lets see where Jones and Barrett are after the 2014 season and make some definative declarations.

Can anyone fill me in as to why Coah Matta and Crean don't like each other? What history between them did I miss or am not aware of?
I hope that Thad contacts the BIG offices, if the incident with Craft is true. I don't care who the coach is, this type of behavior must not be tolerated by the conference. In this age when there is so much negative press about bullying by students, why should student athletes be forced to tolerate this type of behavior from the coach of another team. This is a direct threat to a student. It shouldn't be tolerated!!!!!!!!!!!
If Jones truly does not fit this system, but would thrive elsewhere, Coach Meyer should sit him down and tell him the facts. He should even help him to find the right system/school. That would be the right thing to do for Ohio State, but more importantly, for the young Man. Ted Ginn Sr. could be a part of the conversation if necessary.
As for Mr. Crean, his behavior should not be tolerated and the Big Ten needs to step in right now and discipline him. His behavior is clearly inappropriate in a student/athlete setting like Collegiate Basketball where Coaches are supposed to teach more than just the sport that they coach, but also lessons about life, respect for others and how to behave with maturity and dignity. Coach Crean displayed none of that in his actions regarding Craft or Meyer and yet remains undisciplined. Coach Tressel did everything he could to protect his players from what he perceived to be criminal activity and he was fired and censured. Where is the reason and logic?
