  • Recruiting is a marathon, not a sprint.
    Watch the amount of early commits that signed to teams early holding a spot decommit after New Year's, it happens all the time.
    Same with kids changing over coaching changes and some hot teams during the season that sway kids.

    Gibson is suppose to pull the trigger June 20th on his mom's birthday, all OSU.
    I think Munger is in, just a matter of when.
    DT/NT Mike Hill visits this weekend, big visits. Blow him away and I do not care when he commits, just get him.
    Same with OLB/WSDE Tyquan Lewis who is visiting this weekend.

    Florida State and USC under Bowden and Carroll were the best closers ever, most times this year they were lucky to be top ten, in the last two weeks thru NLOI they landed elite kid after elite kids and finished in the top 3 most years.

  • Gibson on the 20th but since he was seen as such a near lock for so long his public commitment will hardly satisfy our thirst for a big time verbal. Quick on the other hand....

  • I just think after our camps finish we will see 2 or 3 commits. Definitely think there's some of those "non-commitable" offers that will earn the "commitable" offer after camp and then will commit shortly thereafter.

  • I think in 'recruiting time' we are an eon away from the bottom drop dead date.

    We have some amazing talent in the barn (hope it stays there) already. The problem with those who have committed to OSU, is, as soon as they commit we forget about them and obsess on the ones uncommitted and on those that go elsewhere. Seeing as there are probably 250 high quality recruits and we can get, lets say, 25, ----that means 9 out of ten of those top recruits will go elsewhere. Thats a LOT OF ANGST for us ole recruiting nuts to fret about!

    Assuming we offer/ pursue all 250 recruits. Which we don't, therefore, not as much angst as you say. I agree that people do get a little too stressed over recruiting.

    I'm with you. I don't think the hold up is on Gibson's end. If we are going to take a potential head case, I'd rather we go after Foster (if he is indeed one).

    I'm with you. I really don't want him in this class, and frankly, his tape isn't so impressive that I'd be sad if he wasn't in the class, because there are similar players who aren't quite as mouthy (maybe like a Devon Allen?)...
