Obviously we are talking football here, but part of me wanted this thread to be about the #1 BBall center favoring the Buckeyes. :)

You could tell every kid he has an offer at this point. They're all verbal until it's in writing which can't be done until Sept of their Sr. year so alot of these verbal may never happen.

I did not see Bobek until later in his development so it is hard to compare. This kid is the best center prospect from Ohio since Nick Mangold. He is likely to be at his best at 290-300. Centers have not seen the massive growth that other line positions have seen. Most of the top NFL guys are 290-300.

I see an early offer kid. If you have the chance to watch the state championship game just focus on him. That would have been one impressive performance for a senior, let alone a sophmore. He plays with such a great base. He is always on balance.

I see a finisher. I would say more a tough guy than a Kyle Kalis type who has a mean streak a mile wide.

Ohio State is going to be just fine if we can get through this year alive look out next recruiting year ,every player will want to be a buckeye &play for coach Tressel. ..I'm going to love it he has a chance to come out of this year&really make a lot of people eat there words! !! Of course this upsets me but as we watch this mess unravel a lot of Tressel haters are going to eat crow,patience my Buckeye brothers Tress will rise above the cream of the crop always does!!!!!! Agree here. Lovell is an early offer and will be another in a long line of OSU solid centers since Mangold, and now including Brewster, Bobek and Lovell on the way!

Don't forget about Jacoby Boren. Isn't he projected at center? Seems like all the top center prospects want to be Buckeyes, when will that happen with left tackles???

Centers can usually play anywhere on the interior of the line but when you have a kid that can play center you let him play center. I don't see Peterson having the length and size to play outside.

He could still grow, he's not even 17 yet! I remember watching the state championship game and he did an excellent job against St Ed's. Would you say that he's in the top 3 to 5 lineman for the 2013 class in state?
