Not too impressed with the board format

Hopefully someone with some design sense can spruce things up. It needs a lot of help, but really shouldn't be that much effort. I'd put it in the bottom 10% of forums I've seen.

Can't use html? No emotes? Color? Font? size?
I do like how you can upload from your own PC. That is helpfull.
But yeah I agree. The tools could not be more bare bones. Its not really super important so much as its just nice to have.

I don't think it is all that bad. I will definitely miss the star wars smiley icons, and I rather enjoyed (perhaps too much) the poll creation feature on Bucknuts, but my judge of a forum is based on usability, and this one seems pretty user friendly.
It will be interesting to see what features are added over time.

I've heard this stuff many times in the past when Bucknuts has changed boards. After about a 2-3 weeks, it's all forgotten and the complaining is over.

+1 Me either.
It's basically an updated version of the Rivals board.
The board is too bright. The gray needs to be darker so we can differentiate between the different threads/post better.
I'm hoping after things start to settle down they fix some of the kinks.

I haven't been on long enough to pass judgement one way or the other but I have a question. On the old site, you could change the order of the posts that appeared - first post on a thread first or last post. I like pulling up the latest post first.
On the new site, I don't see an option. The oldest post comes up first and you have to scroll to the end to get the latest. Am I missing the place to pick an option here?
I'm gong to lay out the football schedule for the next 5 years, show me one, just one game Ohio State fans would find acceptable to lose.

I have been visiting other team sites. I do really like that feature. But, when visiting, I have a really hard time telling what I have access to or not. For instance, I started a thread on another site and was replied to by a VIP. I was unable to see the reply because of this. That is frustrating.

Yep, give it time. This is the second incarnation of their boards. Just released Sunday. My guess is it will grow and get better. 247 is all about community, so they'll want the best boards.

It took a while to figure out how to make a reply to a post (at least for me), just have to get used to
the new format. I kind of like it but like is said it will take a little experimenting with things to get a better
feel for everything.
