  • Yes, unfortunately, he will be bashed If he doesn't pick tOSU. Shame really. I disagree with whoever insinuated that all other fan bases bash players that don't pick their school. I love OSU, but I have to say, we have quite a few idiots on these boards that seem to get some sort of joy out of bashing 18 year old boys who don't pick us. I don't see the same type of bashing on other boards to be quite honest (except Wisconsin and scUM boards).

  • Most folks wished Diggs well last year when he picked Maryland over OSU. Sure there are some outspoken bashers, but they don't speak for most OSU fans. Getting Quick this year would be a huge coup for Coach Meyer. We don't have that kind of natural talent out wide.. put him with Jalin Zeke, Baugh.. nice speed upgrade.

  • With both of his parents Louisville allumni, I don't care what the kid says. I'll believe he is a buckeye when his letter of intent get signed. Parents are the single biggest influence in any choice a young man or woman makes. The parents want him to go to Louisville. The entire state of Kentucky wants him to stay. I cannot even imagine that kind of pressure. The easy route is to give in and go to Louisville. That makes everyone happy around him.

    I think we need him more than Louisville. A guy like Quick can help us win a national title. At Louisville......he'll be swallowed in the mediocrity that is their conference. He won't get the national TV exposure that OSU gets. His conference does not have its own network to pimp all those players in multiple states. He won't play with the level of talent he does in the big ten and at Ohio State.

    Agree. How many other schools have 5 boards here....? We have so many regular participants here...tOSU fans aren't worse than anyone else's.....btw My family from L'ville, uncle involved w/ Trinity HS for years, cousin has kid in program now...Quick is getting tons of local pressure. Anybody who thinks U of L fans are too classy to give Quick a hard time for picking tOSU are kidding themselves.

  • For goodness sakes, these are young men. Granted some have been pampered and have a sense of entitlement, AKA T.P.!!! But Seriously Folks! And I am a huge Buckeye Fan, with a Buckeye shrine in my home, and gear to match the best of them with Buckeye's on my car while yes.... working in that City of that Team From Up North, and driving by the big Outhouse often. But to bash an eighteen year old is simply an exaggerated sense of self-importance. ScUM fans are stupid arrogant sometime. But in many an OSU victory in the Big Outhouse, and I saw every one of them there under our beloved Tress. An eighty year old alum who sat behind me ALWAYS shook my hand and thanked me for coming to the game. He was gracious and kind to my daughter. We should all have such class!!!! Have your opinion but show you're better than SCUM.

    And when I was walking outside the Big House with my Ohio State hat on before the game, I've had people come up and start screaming at me inches from my face. When a few hundred thousands fans are there, you're going to have every kind of experience on the spectrum. I have no doubt that a lot of visiting fans are treated well at OSU games - I'm also sure that some people are harassed and disrespected.

    I agree, so if he chooses Louisville, let's not bash him on Bucknuts! It can be a New Year's resolution--at least for Quick!
