Ladies and gentleman, that is what our criminal judicial system is. I was shot by a criminal 3 times. Because he was rich, he walked out of court a free man. This Casey Anthony had some very expensive lawyers (who was paying for them we will never know). Defense Lawyers do NOT have to tell the truth, nor does the defendant. I always thought that when you went into court everyone had to tell the truth. That is not the case. Only the Prosecution Attorney's have to tell the truth at all times. This trial is living proof of that. Her dad was accused of child molestation by the defense. Did they ever prove that? No. Drowning in a swimming pool? No. Evidence tampering by the meter reader? No. They didn't prove anything but made a whole lot of accusations.
When people say we have the greatest judicial system in the world, I tell them to go ask victims, like me who did not get justice for a crime against them, how our system worked for them.

The state of Florida taxpayers are paying for the defense lawyers. Some of the team worked for nothing because the financial rewards will come after the trial.
The system is you are innocent till proven guilty and as the judge instructed the jury if there is any doubt you must say not guilty. Because of this our legal system results in more guilty people getting off then innocent people being declared guilty.

As I said 1000 times, this all falls on the prosecutors. There was enough info out there to nail her for some type of crime, yet they let her off with lying to the police. If she's lying to the popo, she's covering up for someone/something, right?
Don't blame the jury, blame the POS prosecutors.

Prosecutors can't create evidence that does not exist. The media loves to try cases in the realm of public opinion which rarely reflects the actual evidence presented in the courtroom.

Couldn't agree more. I'd wager the vast majority of those blaming the jury have never been on a jury in a capital case. Jurors don't get to hear a lot of what viewers hear on TV - expert (and non-expert) opinions and analysis and such. Also other things that go on such as motions to exclude evidence. I remember looking through all the newspaper reports from the trial in which I was a juror after the trial was over. I was amazed at what I read and wondered if they were covering the same trial that I had just been involved in. It is much different than what the TV viewer experiences and the rules and instructions given a juror don't allow for all the freedoms the viewer gets to take.

I can't believe this jury had their heads up their Volquez and acquitted that skank-murderer. What a Volquez joke.
(Inside joke for the followers of the Reds thread ... but I'm sure you can figure it out. Basically, you can substitute "Volquez" for any cuss word. You know what I Volquez mean?)
