I watched the A&E Biography on him last night, it was pretty interesting. The guy has had a pretty remarkable career, re-inventing himself many times over.
So what is your favorite Carrey film?
WIth titles like Ace Ventura, The Truman Show, Eternal Sunshine, there are a lot to choose from.
For me it's gotta be The Cable Guy.
I know I know, the vast majority of fans consider this movie to be awful, and while I can't convince you otherwise, I do think it's a hugely misunderstood movie.
I'm at work right now so I will have to discuss my favorite scenes later.

Dumb and Dumber. Him and Jeff Daniels were simply made for that role. I remember watching a little behind the scenes type show on Dumb and Dumber and Carrey already had the part and they were still looking for Carrey's support. In walked Daniels looking nearly identical to how he looked in the film. He said he didn't wash his hair for 2-3 weeks prior. Carrey at first thought, "No way, this guy can't be funny, he's always in serious movies." After the tryout, I believe the part was immediately given to Daniels because they were laughing so hard.
