My biggest issue is that from a technical side 247 has way too many problems. Building the forums from scratch was a mistake. I haven't seen them incorporate anything useful that doesn't already exist in other forum software. This was very much a situation of reinventing the wheel, and it hasn't gone all that smoothly.

I like getting a little bit of extra information from the other writers, but honestly very little of it is interesting to me. I enjoyed the poster/mod from the MSU board coming over to talk football with us a lot more than any article a 247 guy has provided us.

I don't ever look at the national stuff because it's worthless. This includes TBB and the 247 rankings. The composite is a nice idea, but it would be nicer if 247 had a better system to begin with.

I will also agree that the free trials aren't a positive. Back on the old Bucknuts when they did promotions like that it just lead to a flood of terrible posters. I'd rather do cheap promotional memberships than free so that you at least have to commit something to post on the boards.
