OT - Sons of Anarchy (spoiler alert)

  • Anybody been watching this year? These have been the most intense episodes I have ever seen! Cant get the prision beating and the daughter gettin burned up in front of her dad out of my head today. Its been by far the most intense show i have watched on tv (outside of premium channels).

  • It has been intense. But every season seems to do that. Kurt Sutter has done an amazing job with this series in keeping people hooked.

    BTW, that seen with Tig and his daughter was a bit jacked up for me too, I hung on to that one for a little while.

    That actually changed my mood. it is rare for a show (especially a bunch of criminals) to have that effect on me. I always saw Opie as the one guy who was actually in the gang but seemed like a genuinely good dude.

  • I hate that Opie is gone, but he is the one character they could get rid of and not really lose much. He was on the verge of leaving the club anyway. He was one of my favorite characters so it sucks. I am not sure if Clay is behind the home invasions, if I remember correctly the peg leg was from one of the Nomads who patched in with the Sons.

  • I don't think Clay has the nomads doing the invasions, think they are doing it on their own. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Opie doesn't die and comes back by the end of the season from "waking up from a coma". If they don't have some kind of funeral or memorial service for him I bet he comes back.

  • jack's character is about to get real "badass" this year.....not surprised if he does something by the end of the year that we don'tlike along with a bunch we do......have a sic feelin he will get closer to Clay out of necessity....great show

    Has to be clay. If u recall when they broke into gemmas place they stole clays safe. He mentioned there was marriage certificates and other misc paper work. @ the end of the episode he was sitting @ the table with those marriage certificates and other papers.

    /edit also that old man that was a cop was suspicious about the robbery and hinted towards clay

    Missed the part where he was sitting at the table with those docs....Thats a pretty clear indication.

    Absolutely brutal! Pissed that Opey is gone! Only show on tv that is better is Breaking Bad; unreal!

  • Your wrong on this, at the end of that episode they showed two individuals throwing clays safe into a dumpster and another white guy sitting in a car reading clays marriage documents and such. Clay has nothing to do with the home invasions. If he did they would have shown it to some extent already in the show. They don't just say suprise this is what this character has been up to.

    Kurt Sutter said before this season started that SAMCRO would have to face a few new adversaries in this season. The home invasions are just going to be a secondary adversary to Mr Pope.

    Hated to see Opie go, but knew it was going to take something like that. After Clay ordering him killed (and killing his wife instead) and then killing his old man, either Clay or Opie had to die. The tip off was Clay reaching out to Opie in the earlier show before. Opie didn't kill him in the back yard when they were alone. That meant Clay was staying and Opie was done.

    Interesting the way they turned Jax machievellian at the end of the episode. Him getting Tig out and extracting a "back my vote/play every single time from now on" pledge. Guess they plan to morph Jax into more of the characteristics that Clay has had in the past. In the same way they are morphing Tara into the traits Gemma has displayed in the past. (Just my guess.)

    I'm not sure on the home invasions. It could be Clay. I don't see the angle yet. The other ones don't fit, but taking the safe could be looking for something on Gemma or stuff he had on others in the MC to leverage for a vote back to Pres.

    Since the preview for next week shows Nero's brothel getting shut down (and I'm guess Gemma beating the hooker lead to the tip/bust), my bet is that the MC sets Nero back up elsewhere for a piece of the action.

    Season is off to a good start. I just wish they didn't have 9mo between seasons.

  • @aange I just double checked. The robbers did look @ the certificates and when it went to clays scene there was a stack of papers in front of him. Couldn't tell what they are. Maybe I'm thinking to hard. I wouldn't be @ all surprised if clay was involved though.

    That was one of the nomads sworn into Samcro. Looks like they r being infiltrated. Just wondering the motive....

    Wouldnt shock me if clay was involved. Jax is in "dont give a f*&$" mode. This season is going to be bloody
