OT: What do you wish you had done in your life? (So we made it!)

  • With the "end of the world" tomorrow what do you wish you had been able to do in your life?

Number one is see "The Game" in The Shoe

I've always wanted to go to Australia. I did a report on it in elementary school and wanted to go ever since.

I've also always wanted to join the "mile high club".

EDIT: Looks like we made it for now. Well, until the next crazy or cult leading paster predicts the end or the world....

  • I would have spent more time wiht my aged parents, both of whom have now passed on, my Dad was 94 my Mom was 93. Don't get me wrong, me and my brother did take care of them, and spent a lot of our time wiht them, but I mean,,probably have done more things wiht them..like take them to the beach(they never saw the ocean), taken them to more plays and musicals, gone on vacations wiht them.....they did not want to leave their home and dog, but I would have arranged it so they comfortably could have, now looking back......now I just wish I could sit down and talk to them after so many years.....they were married 70 years together...and gleaned more wisdom of how that happens......

  • Anybody having an Apocalypse party? Sounds like a fun idea. Whether the sun comes up on Saturday or not, it'll be fun. Eat nothing but fried foods, show up in sweats or pajamas. Chase your whiskey with chocolate milk. Just binge/indulge for one night. Let it all go.

Done the two chicks thing a few times. My ex was really into women. It was better then advertised.

I wish I would have walked on at Ohio St. I had half a dozen D1 offers and went to one of the schools that offered me. I loved it there and always will, but if I had to do it over again I would've walked on at OSU.

  • To answer the question, there is nothing I wish I would have done. Because I understand the logic behind what I've done, when I did it and why.

However, if the question were "If you had more time, what would you like to do" that changes things. There are infinite things. Aside from seeing various things around the world and trying all kinds of new experiences. I would just like to spend more time with family and friends.

  • I'm a happily married lawyer with two beautiful daughters. Life has treated me well, but I would love to be the Cleveland Indians owner with a NY Yankees-size payroll and a legitimate chance to bring a World Series title to Cleveland.

  • I wish I hadn't let my parents talk me out of joining the Marine Corps when I was in high school. My dad served during Vietnam, Grandfather during WWII and Korea. I felt a strong sense of duty and they persuaded me to postpone and join after college and become an officer. I went to OSU, had a bad accident while in school that detached both my retinas and disqualified me from future military service. I often wonder what if I had joined up at 17 back in 1996. So that, and I wish I had learned a foreign language fluently. I speak Spanglish and very bad German.

Well seeing that is a regular night for me I guess I should dress up, work out, and eat vegetables.

  • 1. Spent more time with my Mother, who died of Ovarian Cancer in 2007 (right before my 22nd birthday).
    2. Sky dive
    3. Seen more concerts, I really enjoy live music, and I have passed on The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Incubus when they were in town, I really regret that. (If I were older, there would be nothing better than seeing Led Zeppelin and Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young live aswell)
    4. Watched a game at Ohio Stadium, Im 27 and live in TX, and Ive only seen the Buckeyes once, in the 2004 Alamo Bowl against Ok St in 2004.
Those are the 4 major ones.

  • Honestly, I wish I would of joined the Marines and joined earlier in life. Thats about the only regret I have.

But I met my wife while I was in the Navy, so I cant really complain to much.

Tonight??? Ok, this begs the question. Is the world supposed to end tomorrow or Saturday? Geez, the world can't even get this right. The end of the world is turning into a Seinfeld episode.

Its my understanding that the Mayan calendar expires tomorrow. So then presumably Saturday the world is over. But I guess it could mean that as early as 12:01 am tonight that the world ends. The details are troubling... What about time zones. The Mayans were in Central America and the Yucatan and such right? What about people living in Fiji? They get extra time those bastards.

  • I wish I would have pulled out sooner......I keeeed. Love all my kids and they've made my life awesome. There are a few things I wish I hadn't done. I'd like to get to Augusta with my Dad some day - that's his Ohio Stadium and he's never been there. I'd love to see my kids marry, have families and successful carriers. As a 44 year old happily married man my "wants" are more for my family. I've been blessed with travel and I do ok financially. Maybe watch a NCship game like 2002 with my kids/wife present. The time I had in Tempe with 3 of my friends is an incredible memory.

  • If the world ended tomorrow, and I'm pretty confident it isn't going to, my wish would be that I had done a little more to make this world a better place than what I'd found it.

  • I would give my mother one more hug and tell her that i love her and she is the greatest woman in my life. She passed away in february of 2005 from a brain aneuyrsm suffered in july of 2004. I never got to hear her talk again in those 7 months that she was in the hospital or nursing home. I was 23 when that happened. However, its mysterious the way things work. I absolutely hated the month of february. Our daughter was supposed to be born in late march of 2009 but arrived 5 weeks early on feb 20,2009. Needless to say, i believe that is my mothers way of saying you will no longer hate february.
